All-on-4 Dental Implants in Los Angeles and Downey, CA
Restore a Full Arch With Implant Support
If most or all teeth in an arch are missing or cannot be restored, All-on-4 treatment may provide a stable full-arch replacement using four strategically positioned dental implants.
Dr. Won Jung Jeong provides implant placement for qualifying All-on-4 patients at Mission Dental Group in Los Angeles and Downey, CA. Dr. Won Jung Jeong and Dr. Debora Jeong coordinate the restorative phase of care.
What Is All-on-4 Treatment?
All-on-4 is a full-arch treatment concept that uses four dental implants to support a complete set of replacement teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
The posterior implants may be positioned at an angle to use available bone and support the restoration. Detailed imaging is required to determine whether this approach is appropriate for your anatomy.
All-on-4 is one type of implant-supported restoration. It is not the only option for replacing a full arch of teeth.
Who May Be a Candidate?
All-on-4 treatment may be considered for patients who:
- Are missing most or all teeth in an arch
- Have teeth that cannot be predictably restored
- Have difficulty wearing a conventional denture
- Want a fixed full-arch restoration
- Have healthy gums or controlled periodontal disease
- Have sufficient bone in the planned implant locations
- Can maintain daily oral hygiene and regular follow-up care
Smoking, uncontrolled health conditions and active gum disease may affect candidacy and healing. A comprehensive examination is required before treatment can be recommended.
Potential Benefits of All-on-4 Implants
Depending on your condition and treatment plan, All-on-4 may:
- Replace a full arch with four implants
- Provide greater stability than a conventional denture
- Support improved chewing function
- Eliminate the need to remove the restoration daily
- Reduce movement while speaking
- Use available bone strategically
- Restore the appearance of missing teeth and gum tissue
The treatment does not guarantee a specific outcome or eliminate the need for ongoing maintenance.

Dr. Won Jung Jeong has practiced dentistry since 1993 and completed an implantology program at UCLA in 2003. He has placed approximately 1,000 dental implants, restored about 1,000 implant cases and completed approximately 300 full-mouth reconstructions.
Dr. Won Jung Jeong performs dental implant placement and sinus lift procedures when indicated.
Dr. Debora Jeong has practiced since 2023 and has completed approximately 2,000 implant restorations. She restores implants but does not perform implant placement.
The dentists coordinate surgical planning with the intended full-arch restoration, bite and long-term maintenance needs.
The All-on-4 Treatment Process
Comprehensive Evaluation
Your dentist examines your teeth and gums, reviews your medical history and discusses your treatment goals. Existing teeth are evaluated to determine whether they can be preserved.
Three-Dimensional Planning
Cone beam computed tomography provides detailed information about your jawbone and nearby structures. Digital impressions and bite records may also be collected to plan the implant positions and full-arch restoration.
Preparing the Mouth
Periodontal treatment, extractions or another procedure may be needed before or during implant placement. Your dentist will explain the sequence before treatment begins.
Placing the Implants
Dr. Won Jung Jeong places four implants in the planned positions. All-on-4 treatment commonly uses angled posterior implants, but the final positioning is determined by the patient’s anatomy.
Provisional Teeth
A provisional full-arch restoration may sometimes be attached on the day of implant placement when the implants have sufficient initial stability and other clinical conditions are met. Same-day teeth are not appropriate or guaranteed for every patient.
Healing and Final Restoration
The implants are monitored while they integrate with the jawbone. After healing, the final restoration is created, evaluated and secured to the implants.
Will You Need Bone Grafting?
The All-on-4 approach is designed to make strategic use of available bone and may reduce the need for grafting in some patients. It does not eliminate the possibility of additional bone treatment in every case.
Three-dimensional imaging allows Dr. Won Jung Jeong to evaluate whether your jaw can support the planned implants. Upper-jaw treatment may require a sinus lift when additional support is needed in the back of the jaw.
All-on-4 vs. Removable Dentures
A traditional denture rests on the gums and is removed by the patient. An All-on-4 restoration is secured to implants and is generally removed only by a dental professional.
A conventional denture may remain appropriate for patients who do not qualify for surgery or prefer a removable option.
All-on-4 vs. Other Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures may be removable or fixed and can use different numbers of implants. All-on-4 specifically refers to a full-arch approach supported by four implants.
Your dentist will compare the available designs based on bone structure, oral health, treatment goals and maintenance needs.
Technology-Guided Full-Arch Planning
Mission Dental Group uses cone beam computed tomography, digital impressions, intraoral scanning and AI-assisted visualization to support diagnosis, implant planning and patient education.
These tools help our dentists evaluate the jawbone, bite and proposed restoration. Technology supports planning, but healing and outcomes still vary by patient.
Caring for an All-on-4 Restoration
An All-on-4 restoration requires daily cleaning around and beneath the replacement teeth. Our team will recommend appropriate brushes, flossing tools or oral irrigators based on the restoration design.
Regular dental visits allow our team to evaluate:
- The implants and surrounding gums
- The condition of the restoration
- Your bite
- Areas where plaque accumulates
- Screws and other restorative components
Contact our office if the restoration feels loose, your bite changes or the tissues around an implant become swollen or bleed.
