What Happens During a Sinus Lift?

Sinus Lift Surgery
An opening is created in the upper jaw to access the treatment area. The sinus membrane is carefully elevated, and bone-grafting material is placed in the space beneath it.
Healing and Bone Integration
The surgical area is closed and allowed to heal. Over the following months, the grafting material integrates with the surrounding jawbone.
Dental Implant Placement

What to Expect After Surgery
Temporary swelling, pressure or discomfort may occur after a sinus lift. Our team will provide instructions for caring for the surgical area and managing symptoms during recovery.

Initial recovery may take one to two weeks, but the graft generally requires several months to integrate with the jawbone. Healing time varies by patient.
